A LITTLE ABOUT ME...

Nila is a Sydney based multidisciplinary designer, maker and thinker who has a simple goal of designing for a better world. Her work focuses on discursive product design, design for discourse and contemplation rather than design as an instrument of utility. She has an interest in communicating complex global issues through creation of interactive objects and experiences which are impactful on user's memories.

Nila is constantly in search of everyday design issues and a way of overcoming them. Her design process is highly collaborative and she enjoys working with several stakeholders outside of the design world such as engineers and scientists. She has an interest in combining design and technology and creation of high-tech, yet very simple designs.

Nila has graduated from UNSW Art & Design, with a first class honours degree in object design. She is the founder and the ex-president of Make Club at UNSW Art and Design; a collaborative environment for all the art and design students to come together and share the love of making, collaboration and learning.
